The Member representing Onicha, Ohaozara and Ivo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi, Nkemkanma Kama has kicked off the second edition of his annual football competition– OHANIVO Unity Cup.
Kama while kicking off the competition at the football pitch of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area Ebonyi said the competition aims at uniting his constituents and harness football talents.
The lawmaker said the competition was part of his efforts to bridge the gap between the constituency’s leadership and the people, pledging to assist top performers to enhance their footballing careers.
He wished all participating teams an injury-free and overall competition and urged the organisers to ensure a seamless tourney.
“The winners will receive N3.5m while the second and third placed teams will receive N2.5 and N1.5million respectively.
“All the participating teams not withstanding, are to receive N500,000 each at the end of the competition.”
The opening match between between Ishiagu and Onicha teams.
The 20 teams participating in the competition are grouped into four.
