Police PROs Conference : Officers Receive Awards for Exemplary Performance

As reward for hard work and diligence, many
Police Public Relarions Officers, PPROs, including PPROs of FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, Bauchi, Delta, and Abia States, as well as ASP Julius Robinson, a Commander of a tactical team within the Delta State Command, have been given awards in recognition of their exemplary performance in fulfilling their lawful and expected responsibilities.

Commissioner of Police in charge of Delta State, Olufemi Abaniwonda and the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, presented the awards and commendations to the officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police at the PPROs Conference in Asaba, Delta State.

In a message to the occasion, the Inspector-General described the conference as a milestone achievement towards a more effective policing strategy and thanked the Executive Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and the people of Delta State for hosting the event.

The IGP also appreciated the support of various agencies, international organisations, and individuals and further re-echoed his call on the general public to embrace the innovations and ideas of the present Police leadership towards improved oversight, accountability, and quality service delivery for the general socio-economic development of Nigeria.

Our Correspondent reports that the 2024 Conference of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Communications Experts took place from November 18th to 21st, 2024, with a regimental dinner ceremony to signify the end of the annual conference.

Adeh Dedicates Award To Media and FCT Residents

In a reaction, SP Josephine Adeh noted, “I am deeply honored to receive this award in recognition of my efforts to enhance communication, transparency, and trust with the residents of the FCT. Social media has become a vital tool for us, bridging the gap between the Police and the FCT community, and this acknowledgment inspires me to continue fostering positive connections and ensuring that accurate information is always accessible.”

SP Josephine Adeh added, “I am especially grateful to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun PhD, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Olatunji Disu, psc, and the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, for their guidance and support, which made this recognition possible. I dedicate this award to the media and residents of the FCT, your trust and engagement drive our commitment to transparency and effective communication. “Together, we are building a stronger bond between the Police and the community. Thank you for your continued support. I will not forget that to whom much is given, much is expected”, she remarked.
