Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Awka Wednesday held her 11th Induction ceremony of Graduands into the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
In a message to the event, the Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo charged the inductees to help in the development of Nigeria’s healthcare system, rather than abandon it.
In the message delivered by his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, Soludo
congratulated the teachers for doing a wonderful job which culminated to the induction.
He further applauded the Pioneer Provost of the College of Medicine, Emeritus Prof. Frank Akpuaka for his meritorious service.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha urged the graduands/ inductees to be good ambassadors of the University and to keep flying the flag of excellence which the university is known for.
The Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, in a message by Dr. Victor Gbenro, Deputy Registrar, commended the graduands and their teachers for their resilience.
Also present at the occasion were: Dr. Joe Akabuike, Chief Medical Director, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital; Prof. Lawrence Ikeako, Provost College of Medicine; Emeritus Prof. Frank Akpuaka, Pioneer Provost, College of Medicine as well as members of the University Governing Council.
