With the increasing challenges in Nigeria in almost all the sectors, from insecurity education, petrol and others, Mahdi Shehu who was a guest at Arise TV has lavished praises on the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
According to Shehu, he said that the former president was one of the best leaders Nigeria ever had but Nigerians were impatient with him.
He recalled how Nigerians threw his name to the mud and were very much eager to see him vacate Aso Rock but today, many of them wish that they could go back and undo the damages as things are now worse than ot used to be.
According to Mahdi Shehu, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is now laughing at Nigerians today and claimed he is sure that the former president is now sitting with his cup of tea at the comfort of his house, watching and laughing at Nigerians because of what they brought upon themselves when they threw him away in 2015. He also said that Goodluck Jonathan had good thoughts and plans for Nigeria and her citizens but they chased him out of office.
Mahdi Shehu claimed that after Jonathan left Aso Rock, things became worse and since than, the person that took his place at Aso Rock has not done anything to remedy the worsening situation of the country. He concluded by saying that, if Goodluck Jonathan had been given the time he needed, he would have solved Nigeria’s insecurity woes which are on the verge of swallowing the country.
