With only a few days to the end of the on going Continuous Voters Register,CVR, in the country, Ebonyi State has shown a good outing.
The State has recorded an impressive figure of 364,268 new registrants as at the last count.
It is followed by Anambra with 276,767; Abia, 243,464; Enugu, 210,335 and Imo, 166,855.

Statistics released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the CVR exercise, which is billed to come to an end this weekend also show Lagos overtaking Kano State as per the number of completed registrations.
Last week, Kano had 458,559 fresh registrants, with Lagos coming second with 451,156.
However, in the infographics released on Tuesday, INEC said as at 7am on Monday, July 25, Lagos was in the lead for the number of completed registrations with 508,936; followed by Kano with 500,207, and Delta with 481,929.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has 170,828 new registrants.
Ekiti with 124,844 new registrants is the least, followed by Yobe with 134,002.
Surprisingly Bayelsa State has 416,519 new registrants.

The report further shows that more than 11 million new applicants have completed their voter registration since the CVR began in June last year. But what is disturbing is the poor outing in the South East upon their clamour for president of Igbo extraction. Imo state with its vast population recorded the least new registrants in the zone while Anambra where Peter Obi comes from managed a paltry 276767 new voters upon the millions of its inhabitants.
